Suharto's condition improves

Suharto, 86, whose regime was widely regarded as one of the most brutal and corrupt of the 20th century, was hospitalized in critical condition just over a week ago with anemia and a low heart rate.

After initially responding well to a blood transfusion and kidney dialysis, his health sharply deteriorated.

On Friday, physicians described his state as "alarming," and family members and friends rushed to his bedside, some reciting prayers and verses from the Quran.

Marjo Subiandono, the chief presidential doctor, said however there were signs of improvement overnight.

Suharto was still on a ventilator, he said, but early signs of infection in his lungs appeared to be responding to antibiotics.

The retired five-star general would remain hooked up to machines to avoid damage to his vital organs, the doctor added.

Diet won't stop me having fun

When I got back home, I took Rocky out for a walk and Steve made beef stir fry for tea with loads of vegetables.

One good side effect of my new healthy regime is that the whole family is eating better.

We are buying fresh food every day and not buying so many sweets and junk food.

I will have a piece of fruit rather than a biscuit and no longer crave crisps after a particularly horrible experiment - one of our experts set fire (don’t try this at home) to a single crisp and you should have seen the fat that oozed out of it.

It was truly disgusting and has put me off crisps for life.

I’m planning on a big walk tomorrow and will try and do a bit of running as well.

I do have such a lot more energy and I feel much better. I hope you do too.

Diet Choices Can Keep Pets Healthy, Happy

Ask your veterinarian to refer you to a specialist with an advanced degree in animal nutrition, certified by the American College of Veterinary Nutrition," she says.

Start Simple

If you're too busy to cook but want to add some natural food to your pet's diet, start with a natural, high-quality pet food -- one with no artificial preservatives, colorings or flavorings. Mix it with vegetables, grains and meats, and add a vitamin and mineral supplement, says Gardner. Chemicals to avoid include BHA, BHT and ethoxyquin.

Dr. Ihor Basko, a Hawaii-based holistic veterinarian, recommends introducing a new diet gradually, since sudden changes can lead to vomiting and diarrhea. Other things to consider include your pet's age, health, metabolic rate, activity level and breed.

Gotta Feed The Kids

The K-Fed clan can continue to rest easy, for now, because there could be $200,000 coming their way. A major cable network has reportedly offered the pricy sum for a sit-down with the Kevs, and, believe it or not, he doesn't need to talk about Britney!

That's the kicker. According to a Federline source, K-Fed has been offered $500,000 to spill about Brit and has refused.

Nothing is set in stone yet for a new interview. Team Kevin are said to be angling for more money.

Do we really wanna hear him talk about his "career" or his role as a father???

If he ain't talking Britney, it's not worth it!
